Schools Narcan Training
Arlington Schools are training officials in the use of Narcan, a drug that can prevent death from an opioid overdose. Superintendent Kathleen Bodie tells APN that this is a precautionary move by the Arlington Public Schools and "take very seriously the epidemic of opioid addiction in our area and around the country." Arlington’s high school and middle school nurse joined several other school officials this week from around the area in a Narcan administration training program at the Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan’s office.
